Welcome To The St. James Assiniboia Neighbourhood Resource NetworkThe St James-Assiniboia Neighbourhood Resource Network (NRN) is a group made up of local residents and representatives from various agencies and organizations who meet on a monthly basis. Our goal is to share information about resources and community-based programming, identify strengths within our community and address issues of gaps in services as identified by the community.
Through the NRN, sub-committees are formed to develop new programming within the St. James-Assiniboia area.
 History of the St. James Assiniboia Neighbourhood Resource Network
GoalsBy engaging in community activities and action, we will accomplish the following:
•Be well functioning and effective
•Develop strong partnerships between organizations and community
•Understand and better utilize the community's assets and strengths
•Improve access to services and address disparities in access to services
•Develop a well-informed community
•Decrease isolation among community members
•Improve the quality of life for all and build a stronger community
•Create a sense of belonging and pride in St. James-Assiniboia
ValuesCollaboration: We believe that we will be more effective in achieving our goals if we collaborate with one another.
Inclusiveness: We believe that diversity of members will increase the validity and value of our work.
Knowledge of the Community: We believe that our work will be enhanced and actions more responsive by gaining knowledge of the community, its residents, businesses, services issues and assets.
Building on Community Strengths: We believe that our community has many strengths and assets that we can use to build a solid foundation for out work and the community.
Communication: We believe that ongoing 2-way communication between ourselves and the community is vital in ensuring our work is meeting the needs and addressing concerns.

The St. James-Assiniboia Neighbourhood has a strong sense
of community, volunteerism and civic pride. Many families have lived here
for generations and have strong roots in this community. St. James-Assiniboia
is a place where most of us feel safe, where we can enjoy a clean environment
with many parks and waterways. It is a stable, friendly, slower-paced,
diverse community and is a good environment to raise children in. Here,
in St. James-Assiniboia there is a broad range of convenient facilities,
services, businesses, and amenities – we have “everything you
need” right here.
This website tries to embody that spirit. Here you will
find information on all the wonderful programs, services, events, recreation
and leisure opportunities, service clubs, green space, play areas, education
and learning programs that exist in our great community!
